"Diego is an amazing trainer, who has been working miracles with me (now age 77) for the past five years, and who has been a life-changer for many of my aging friends as well. We have our physical challenges as we age, and one of Diego's great strengths (of which there are many) is his ability to meet us where we are and adapt our workouts according to our physicals needs and limitations. He thoroughly and thoughtfully plans every workout and somehow is able to remember all we've done in the past, building one session on the next, knowing where to focus for maximum impact on increased strength, stability, flexibility, and cardio. I feel safe in his hands. I don't fear injuries (as has happened with trainers in the past), because he is so mindful and, even on Zoom, so watchful and clear about precisely what he wants you to do, making very subtle adjustments to be sure you're getting it right and not doing any harm to your back or anywhere else in your body. "I first started working with Diego five months before a planned trek in Nepal. I’m 76 years old, and while generally fit, I needed both strength training and exercise to improve my balance. Diego is a marvelous trainer and a delightful person. He’s incredibly encouraging and tuned into the needs of the person he’s working with and has a broad repertoire of approaches and techniques. While I am always challenged by the work Diego assigns me, I am never overwhelmed with what he guides me through each week. One of the things that has always impressed me about Diego is his ability to observe so carefully during our weekly sessions. Whether we are meeting in person or via Zoom, Diego discerns the subtlest of shifts in my workout: where I am holding my breath, which part of my foot I am using to push up from, where I position my elbows or knees, and more. He offers me corrections and adjustments to maximize the benefit of each exercise and to minimize the possibility of injury. My strength, stamina, and balance so dramatically improved that I was able to meet the challenges of the Himalayan trek with confidence.
